      Yes my lab use microscopes to look into cells and at tissue structure

      Not any more, even though I am currently living and working in Jena, one of the global headquarters of microscope production.

      Throughout my studies, however, I used both conventional and confocal light microscopy a lot (mainly for cellular structures). I also did some work with scanning and tunneling electron microscopes, and my PhD was dedicated to doing MRI scans at microscopic resolution, e.g. to follow cell divisions.

      No, I never use them I’m afraid. Nor do I use test tubes, bunsen burners or goggles!
