I am not expecting to benfit from this other than hoping that I get students more interested in science and show that science can lead to something important like a cure for a horrible disease like cirrhosis

I will benefit because I enjoy the communication of science and this gives me the chance to practice. I also volunteer to give careers talks and science help to schools so it’s nice to have more experience of communicating with you lot!

I assume you mean “I’m a Scientist”, right?

I think the future will see more exchanges of this kind between scientists and various groups of non-scientists, or between scientists of different backgrounds. Apart from the excitement of being part of an initial experiment like this, my benefit is that I am practicing how to communicate in such contexts, that I can observe other scientists doing the same, and that there is feedback.
