      In my other life I’m a rock star. In reality, I’d probably be an accountant, or a stockbroker like most of my old university friends. It’s a shame really, but the analytical skills used in science are highly sought after in the financial industries and you can make much more money doing that, if that’s what you want.

      Science communicator, science journalist or science manager would probably be amongst the first choices, though there are not many jobs in these areas, and so there might be a second round of applications, probably aiming at translator, travel guide, engineer, teacher or seaman.
