      I went to a comprehensive school in Beverley in Yorkshire. The school is still there and it is called Longcroft School, that is where I got my GCSEs.

      3A*, 6A and a B (in art) and I got a B in general studies much later! Science-wise I did a double award which included physics, chemistry and biology all in one. I got an A. (swat)

      Again, the German system differs, but I had thrown out most of my favourite subjects in favour of taking more science classes and got 679 (just checked) out of 840 points (280 were required to pass). This was sufficient to study both biophysics and medicine at the university of my choice (though an extra test had to be passed for medicine, in which I ranked in the top 4% of all applicants across the country).
