  We have different systems here in Germany, and I took all the science (chem/ bio/ phys/ astro/ math/ computer) courses and as many sports courses that would fit into the schedule, along with music and the obligatory German, foreign language (French), politics and geography.
  
  Somewhat unusually, I took a number of university (maths, biophysics, biochemistry) and evening school courses (English, Latin, Russian) in parallel, basically to help me find a suitable subject for in-depth study.
