• Question: what do you do to become a science person, and is it easy or hard?

      Well, I think you’d expect me to say doing science a-levels, then a science degree and finally doing a job as a scientist. But I don’t think so. I know people who fix drains for a living who have a passion for science in their spare time. So, to be a ‘science person’ you just need to really enjoy it.

      To be a professional scientist, you need a degree really. Maybe even a PhD. It’s hard work, but there’s no satisfaction in choosing the easy option all the time.
