Endorphins are naturally occuring chemicals that are found in our body, particularly when we are very excited, in pain or when we exercise. They are thought to help us overcome pain and recover easier, but they also generate a natural “high”, a feeling of euphoria and well-being, this is something that a lot of athletes experience and for some people pushes them to run further or lift heavier weights in search of a bigger and better high.
