      It is the concept that when we die our soul comes back to the world either in a new person or in an animal.

      As far as I know, reincarnation is supposed to be (in some religions) the return of the soul of an individual who died. But I have no idea what a soul might be.

      Reincarnation is I believe a Buddhist idea that means when animals die they are ‘reincarnated’ as an animal higher up the chain until you’re a human being. If you lead a good life you then get to go somewhere else that’s even more special. I don’t like it because it makes out that humans are more special than other animals.
