      In essence, it is probably survival.

      Why? Because I am fascinated by the idea that a bunch of atoms (me) can collaborate to structure a bunch of electrons such that information can travel to another bunch of atoms (you) and backwards, across distances way off the mark for ordinary atoms. Without life – or curiosity – this wouldn’t be possible in any predictable way.
