• Question: when you were little what did you want to be?

      Firefighter, holidaymaker, cosmonaut (we didn’t say astronaut at the time) and sailor were all amongst my favourites then, along with some nebulous notions of “traveler” or “researcher”.

      A footballer or an astronaut like Neil Armstrong who I watched on the TV walking on the moon, I wanted to be the first man to walk on Mars 🙂

      I don’t really remember. I remember wanting to be all the things you weren’t allowed to be if you’re colourblind like electrician, pilot etc but never seriously. I just followed the subjects I was most interesting and ended up as a scientist!
