      I hope we can and there is a good chance since whatever the underlying injury (virus, alcohol, hereditary childhood disease) chronic liver disease follows a similar course which ends with cirrhosis and/or cancer. By studying fibrosis (scar formation) which leads to cirrhosis and cancer we can hopefully find cures for most types of liver disease and for all ages.
